Hope and new beginnings

This organization was not built by a corporation.

HelpOurself was created by a young teenager who has personally faced severe depression, crippling anxiety, and relentless bullying. Someone who knows what it feels like to struggle and who wanted to build something real for others going through the same thing.

"I started HelpOurself because I know what it feels like to be alone in the dark, wondering if things will ever get better. I wanted to create the resource I wish I had when I was at my lowest."

There were days when getting out of bed felt impossible. Days when anxiety made going to school feel like walking into a war zone. Days when the bullying was so relentless that it seemed like nothing would ever change. And the darkest moments, when the thought of ending everything seemed like the only way to stop the pain.

But those moments passed. Not because of superhuman strength, but because eventually, sometimes barely and sometimes just in time, help arrived. A conversation with the right person. A resource that actually provided useful information. A moment of genuine connection that served as a reminder that isolation was not the whole story.

That experience is why HelpOurself exists. Because finding help should not be difficult. It should not require money. And it should come from people who genuinely understand what you are going through, not only from textbooks and clinical language, but from lived experience and real empathy.

"Every resource on this site, every conversation in the chat, every page was built with a single objective: ensuring that no one has to go through what I went through alone. If this site helps even one person hold on for one more day, then all of this was worth it."

HelpOurself is completely free and will remain free permanently. There are no advertisements, no premium subscriptions, and no hidden costs. It is a safe space for young people who need help, built by someone who needed it too and who is living proof that things genuinely can get better.
